Analog Devices has disclosed that it suffered a cyberattack in June, resulting in unauthorized access to internal systems and the theft of company files.
The semiconductor manufacturer said the incident did not disrupt operations and that it is still investigating the scope of the stolen data.
The disclosure was made in a Form 8-K filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 29, providing the first public confirmation of the incident.
According to the filing, Analog Devices detected unauthorized access to certain company systems on June 23, 2026. After discovering the intrusion, the company activated its incident response procedures, engaged external cybersecurity specialists to assist with containment and forensic analysis, and notified law enforcement.
The company has confirmed that files were exfiltrated from affected systems but said it has not yet determined the full nature or scope of the stolen information.
According to the filing, the company is not aware of the data being publicly released or used for fraudulent purposes. It added that it will continue monitoring for signs of misuse and notify affected individuals and regulators where required by law.
Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Wilmington, Massachusetts, Analog Devices is one of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers, designing analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal-processing chips used across the industrial, automotive, communications, healthcare, and consumer electronics markets. The company reported annual revenue of approximately $12.7 billion.
Analog Devices said the attack did not interrupt business operations and, based on current information, is not expected to materially affect its business, operations, or financial condition, but noted that assessment could change as its investigation progresses.
Reviewing a separate incident
The SEC filing also references a second cybersecurity matter that the company says is unrelated to the June intrusion.
“Separately and unrelated, on July 26, 2026, the Company was made aware of public reports regarding a disparate cybersecurity matter and is currently assessing its validity, scope, and any potential impact,” Analog Devices said.
The filing does not identify the reports or provide additional details.
The timing coincides with claims published by the emerging ransomware and data extortion group Exfilsquad, which recently listed Analog Devices on its leak site. The group alleges it stole approximately 570,000 customer records containing personally identifiable information (PII) and physical addresses.
However, Analog Devices has not attributed the June incident to any threat actor or confirmed that Exfilsquad's claims are related to either cybersecurity matter referenced in the SEC filing. There is currently no independent evidence verifying the group's claims regarding the volume or nature of the allegedly stolen data.
