Legends International has begun notifying individuals that their personal data was exposed in a cybersecurity breach first detected in November 2024.
The incident may affect those who visited or worked at venues managed by the sports and entertainment services firm.
Legends International, LLC, headquartered in New York, is a global premium experiences company that provides planning, sales, and operations services to sports teams, venues, and entertainment enterprises. It is known for partnerships with major leagues and institutions, including the NFL, MLB, NCAA, and international clients. Its operations span ticketing, hospitality, sponsorship, and retail, making it a significant processor of consumer and employee data.
The breach was discovered on November 9, 2024, when Legends’ IT team identified unauthorized activity on internal systems. In response, the company swiftly shut down select systems and launched a forensic investigation with the assistance of external cybersecurity experts. Law enforcement authorities were also notified.
Investigators later confirmed that malicious actors had accessed and exfiltrated files containing sensitive personal information. The company did not specify the exact data elements compromised in the letter to consumers, instead listing a placeholder where affected data types (such as Social Security numbers or addresses) would typically be itemized. However, given the offer of credit monitoring and identity theft protection, it’s likely that highly sensitive personal data was involved.
In the wake of the breach, Legends took unspecified actions to bolster cybersecurity across its infrastructure. As of now, the firm claims it has found no evidence that the stolen information has been misused. Still, it is offering affected individuals a complimentary 24-month membership to Experian IdentityWorks, which includes identity theft monitoring, credit report access, and insurance coverage for identity restoration.
The company is urging recipients to remain vigilant by monitoring financial accounts and credit reports, and it is providing information on placing fraud alerts or credit freezes with major bureaus. The deadline to enroll in the Experian protection service is July 31, 2025.
